What is AB Girls?

AB GIRLS is a ministry focused upon meeting the spiritual needs of girls as they move through the many changes their lives will take as they grow into adulthood.

Girls of Joy-Grades 3-5
Girls of Faith-Grades 6-8
Young Women of Hope-Grades 9-12
Young Adult Women (Y.A.W.)-Age-18-25
(Currently we meet as 2 groups-Grades 3-6 and 7-12)

Come join us, we have a lot of fun! We've had overnight lock-ins, gone ice-skating, roller-skating, bowling, and to the movies.

Why Just Girls?

We all know that girls and boys are different, and at times, have very different needs. We also know that sometimes youth are less inclined to speak up in mixed crowds, and often hold back from sharing their true feelings around the other gender. AB GIRLS ministry is designed to complement the Christian Education and youth ministry programs in a congregation. AB GIRLS is a way for girls to have the opportunity to deal with tough questions honestly, to build close relationships with each other, and to build a program that will meet their particular needs as growing women of faith.

Our Past Mission Projects Have Included:

Interfaith Hospitality Network, Habitat for Humanity, Rescue Mission and Rescue Haven.


Some of Our Current Mission Projects Include:

We collect used eyeglasses for an Eye Clinic in Haiti

We collect UPC bar codes from Campbell's Brand Products to benefit a Native American facility in Oklahoma.

National Gathering at Green Lake Conference Center in Green Lake, Wisconsin every summer since 1992. Summer, 2007 will be our last Gathering at Green Lake.

Sheltered Reality

Sheltered Reality is dedicated to using their unique mix of music and education to bring communities together and to teach young people and adults about homelessness and other negative childhood experiences, promote volunteerism, and help them to learn to advocate for those in need.

Planning for the Summer 2008 AB GIRLS Mission Encounter to Alaska has just begun! Get ready for an exciting, meaningful experience visiting churches and mission sites, meeting great people and doing great things.
