Serving

As followers of Jesus Christ, we are called to be his hands and feet in this world. We take this calling seriously and actively seek out opportunities to contribute to the good that is happening within our neighborhood(s), our country and the world; for no other purpose than to do good for good sake and not to grow our church or convert people to our religion. We eagerly partner with other churches, other faith groups and community organizations to impact the world in positive ways. We welcome you to join us in this effort. Below are some of the opportunities we have at this time.

 

  • Family Promise
Family Promise is an organization that connects homeless families with churches as they work toward finding stable housing. In addition Family Promise works with these families to get them back on their feet and moving in a positive direction. We partner with St. Catherine’s Newman Center to provide temporary housing and home cooked meals one week each quarter. Watch for dates.

  • Can-Can project
In September we will be collecting canned good for the Cross-roads Urban Center food pantry. Crossroads is a place to turn to for those who are in need. They serve the community in many different ways and we are blessed to be in partnership with them.

  • ABC-USA Missions
As an American Baptist Church, we participate in the four yearly offerings to support the missions of ABC-USA. - One Great Hour Of Sharing
- America for Christ Offering
- World Mission Offering
- Retired Ministers and Missionaries Offering
