Worship

Worship at First Baptist Church is relaxed, diverse, creative, and joyful.

As we design worship the ultimate goal is to have a shared experience with the Spirit of God. We do this through music, reading, dance, drama, call and response, liturgy and any other creative thing we can think of that creates a sense of worship. It is designed to be flexible while still maintaining flow and a sense of connection.

It is familiar, but different.

What to Expect

We incorporate many traditional elements along with some more contemporary ones so in that sense, our worship would be called “blended”. We have a wonderful choir that inspires us and we enjoy congregational music that incorporates not only the organ, but we also have a band accompany the singing.

We celebrate the Lord’s Table on the first Sunday of every month. Communion is open to anyone; one need not be a member of the church or even Baptist to partake of the bread and the cup.

The invitation is extended to explore our church through our worship on Sunday morning and we pray that as you do, you are touch by the Spirit of God.

Children in Worship

Having children in worship is a tremendous blessing and we at First Baptist Church value being in a multi-generational setting. Children are welcome to join us for the service and are encouraged to be a part of everything we do. We offer activity bags for children while in worship and school-age children are invited to attend Praise Club after the Children's Message, where they will hear Bible lessons, sing, do crafts and other fun age-appropriate activities.

We also have a nursery for infants and preschoolers (up to 4 years old).
